But To Feel Your Bones...

It occurred to me last night that I don't think I've done any work that wasn't for uni in months. Decided to change that. It was so much fun to do something completely diffferent to what I've been working on solidly. I remember why I like drawing again now.

Our Time Down Here Design Type Thingamy.
Their new album is incredible. And their new video just came out.

Right click & open in new window to get the full size image. This has lost quite a lot of detail by being too small.

Los Muertos Y Sin Dios V.s. The Lost Soul

Getting down with The Dead And Godless. I love this typeface. I want to use it for everything. Logistically, stylistically and aesthetically that's either impossible or a really bad idea. But it'd be fun to try.

Lost soul.
Simple.
Take an older piece of work.
Vectorise it.
Introduce a black background.
Add a set of tiny upside down crucifixes.
Put your web address at the bottom.
Send it to the printers.

'Dear Godmachine' Or 'Dead By Dawn'

Finally finished.
This probably took the longest out of anything I've done this year.
Loving the little extras here and there & definitely need to get involved more with that typeface.

'Dear Godmachine' - Work In Progress 3

It's getting fairly large now and is taking ages to do anything.
More colours. More additions. More more more.

Dead By Dawn Flash Sheet

Happy Halloween and all that.
Weird flash-sheet-type-thing. For re-usable elements in vectors.

'Dear Godmachine' - Work In Progress 2

I've been busy a-vectoring.

I know using flares is a sin. But I like them sometimes.

Still a lot of work to do here.
Eyes, more colouring layers on the face, teeth, cross details, more colouring on the hair, gradients on the swirls, background, extras. Stay tuned.

Beware The Wolf, For He Comes For You Tonight

Beware the wolf, for he comes for you tonight,
The sands of time in his teeth he bares,
A heathen, A harbinger,
Despair, Oh, Child despair,
The wolf, he comes for you tonight.

Trying out some new style ideas. I'm feeling the colour on black situation, the eyeball amulet, chain, hourglass, bones, bandages and the circle with the runes in are all working for me. The wolf head I don't think is quite as strong. The crosses and spikey bits I should of spent more time over. If it was just the amulet & hourglass with the bones, and then the runes around the eye I think it would work. Might draw that up.

December 4th 2010: Forgive Me, Mother

I like it when I actually have some time to put into my drawings and I can make them more detailed than average. The only problem with this is that I tend to slip between styles but I think it makes it look quite interesting. Other than a few mistakes on the lettering I think this ones pretty good. Priest man.

August 12th 2010: Inky Priest

No pen. That is an extrememly rare thing for me. And it made the image quite weird.
